I went to Portland, Oregon during hiatus of Disney XD's Kickin' It to help out on NBC's Grimm. It has been picked up and is scheduled to begin airing in the fall.

I enjoyed the few days I had in Portland; it's a beautiful place with kind people, great style and (my favorite part) delicious food! I look forward to going back there in the future.

A quick peak to Kickin' It, the Disney show I've been working on since January. This show has been so much fun to work on and I'm so happy to be a part of something so spectacular. I love going to work everyday and seeing all the cast and crew. I am so blessed to work with such a lovely group of people.

I recently received the link to the AFI short I costumed back in February. It's exciting to see how everything came together. This was my first time costuming from start to finish on my own. What a great experience it was, thanks to the AFI students for letting me join their team. Hopefully I'll get the opportunity to work with the talented students of AFI again.

Here are a few photos of the actors from the American Film Institute project I worked on a while back. I'm hoping to get some legitimate ones from the still photographer but my amateur ones should do for now.

It was a great pleasure to work with everyone at AFI, I hope to do more projects with them. The actors were a pleasure to work with as well. It was very challenging but all around fun. This was my first time experimenting with blood. Doesn't Robert look like he was just murdered? =)

Wardrobe Life

So it's been a minute since I've been writing. Worked on a project with some students at AFI and am wrapping up a pilot this week. The past few months has been A+ amazing. I could not have dreamed this.

Working with so many talented people, including a Stacy Beverly who is one of my favorite designers. She is the designer behind Girlfriends and The Game. Two shows of which I started to watch because of my girl Antanice but continued to watch because of the costume. Her work speaks to me in a way I can't describe--it's fabulous, always classy.

The Costume Designer, Michelle Cole took a chance on me for this project and I'm so grateful for her. I hope that I performed up to par.

The Costume Supervisor, Toni Gmuer, who also worked with Stacy on The Game, is one of the sweetest individuals I've come to know and has been a guiding light to me in through this entire project.

I cannot describe in words my gratitude for their guidance and kindness. It was a challenge but reaffirms my passion for this kind of work. I could not imagine doing anything else. Thank you ladies!

I do not know what is next for me but am taking it one step at a time. Thank you to all of you (however few) for your support.

Chanel Haute Couture Spring 2010

This collection reminds me of all things girly: frosting, cupcakes, sparkle, flowers, ruffles, bows, hearts, stockings...I particularly love the heart shaped hair adorned with bows and colored bangs.

The pastel pinks, pale yellows, soft lavenders, icey blues with the touch of silver and gold are so sparkly and sweet it gives me a tooth ache.

The overall collection makes me fantasize a lovely tea party with the sweetest treats and loveliest gals.

Not much to say except for Lagerfeld makes my girly heart flutter.

I love Wilfred

There's this shop at Valley Fair mall in San Jose that I'm completely obsessed with: Aritzia. Every time I visit the family I always make a trip over there. During my holiday visit, I dropped by the San Francisco store and the San Jose store. I picked up quite a few items at both locations so no shopping for a while.

Aritzia carries quite a few lines: TNA, Talula, Nike, See by Chloe, Citizens of Humanity, and many more but my ultimate favorite and the one I gravitate towards most is Wilfred. Wilfred creates classic pieces with a subtle quiet airiness.

I picked up the boyfriend blazer a while back and pretty much live in it. I'm very excited to wear my new pieces in the following months.

This campaign has been out for a while: Lily looking very Audrey-esque, with her sleek black and white looks, ornate crowns, and big black sunglasses.

I'm posting this because the release is October 3rd! I am so thrilled and am heading to Chanel this weekend to see if they have any in stock. I doubt that I will be able to get one, but I am just dying to see (and maybe even touch?) what these beauties look like in real life.

I've been shopping for a black every day bag and this nylon Chanel would be perfect...Oh, the woes of being unemployed and far from wealth.

If I'm lucky, maybe I can talk the family into giving me an extremely early and extremely extravagant Christmas gift.

Sherri on Lifetime

I interned for the Sherri pilot back in April, and since then the show was picked up and has been in production in New York. I am just now seeing advertisements for it, Mom even called and said she saw something on television, I am very excited to see how the show came together! The show premieres on Monday, October 5th at 7pm on Lifetime Network. I'll be watching!

Sherri plays a paralegal who is also a comedienne on the side. She has a young son and has recently separated from her husband. The show explores her life as a newly single woman, let me say that she is a fierce woman and very funny too! I tremendously enjoyed working on this show and hope that everyone enjoys watching it.

Here's my best dressed list:

Ed Helms looking very handsome and up to date with a slim fitting tux. I like, Ed Helms!

Host Neil Patrick Harris looked good on the red carpet but my favorite pick of his was his awards show look, the white jacket with shawl collar and bow-tie paired with the black slacks is very dapper and hip.

Chloe Sevigny's polka dot gown and Mary-Louise Parker's short purple dress with bow detail were lovely alternatives to mostly solid or bejeweled gowns on the red carpet.

Olivia Wilde looks stunning in her backless dress; she always looks amazing..love her. Another stunning woman on the red carpet was Perrey Reeves; she is absolutely gorgeous and is sparkling in her short sleeved gown--I love a dress with sleeves (or just one)!

I couldn't decide on which of these two were my favorite, so I pick both January Jones and Mila Kunis. I really like the graphic details on January Jones's bodice. The train, colors, the silohuette, and the fit...so elegant and divine! My 2nd but equally favorite look of the night is Mila Kunis, her tulle burgandy dress looks amazing on her and I love the length of the dress. I love that we can see her shoes and they are fabulous! I usually don't picture Mila so glamorous, this is a good look on you Mila, keep it up!

The September Issue

Just watched The September Issue--of course I loved it.

I have always had great admiration for Anna Wintour, obviously because she is the Editor in Chief of Vogue and basically the "Pope of Fashion." This documentary shows how an issue comes together, and to my surprise does not focus mainly on Anna Wintour but instead on Vogue.

I learned a great deal about Grace Coddington, the Creative Director. She started her career in Vogue as young model, worked for British Vogue and now she works for American Vogue. She puts all of the spreads together and boy does she do an amazing job-the best, really. Her imagination and ability to see a photograph come together is divine. It's great to learn about the people behind the work which has inspired me for years and years to come.

Clinton Kelly at the Americana

Clinton Kelly was at the Americana in Glendale on Thursday, August 27th signing copies of his new book for fans. I have been an admirer of Clinton Kelly and Stacy London for some time now--since high school actually, ever since I first watched What Not To Wear. They are a dynamic duo and are so amazing at what they do. I wrote Clinton a letter of admiration, just to express my love for him and how much he is an inspiration to me as an individual but also as a stylist. Clinton is extremely nice and he complimented me on my floral dress. =) If it's good enough for Clinton it's good enough for the world! He is ten times more handsome in real life, (dreamy really) and incredibly nice! He was all smiles even though we were in the sweltering heat. Oh Clinton, you are so fabulous!

A couple weeks ago, my girl, Julia, called me up and told me she got a job styling the judges of So You Think You Can Dance...Wow! I was (and am still) very proud of her. She asked me to do the job with her and of course I said "YES YES YES!" We went shopping the next day and the following day we went to the shoot. I had a blast shopping with Julia, we make an excellent team. I have big plans for us in our styling future...we have a long way and a lot of work ahead of us, but I'm confident we will be successful in our endeavors. I adore you Julia and support you in your styling career.

I went to visit the family a couple weeks ago and we visited Jeremy's in San Francisco--billions of discount designer items...heaven! There were tons of Christian Dior, Chanel, Fendi, Phillip Lim dresses, tops, shoes, even handbags...and much more. It was amazing; I loved it!
I was ready to purchase some Chanel shoes, but sadly there were not any in my size, maybe next time. I'm going to make an effort to make it to Jeremy's each time I'm in the Bay.

We’ve been very busy at Crystal’s lately. Her website Crystal Wright Live is up and running as well as a new component 30 Days at 100%.

Chanel Haute Couture Fall Winter 2009/10

The Chanel show was held July 7th at the Grand Palais in Paris, France. The all white stage was set with giant Chanel Number 5 bottles. The models wore simple makeup with dramatic cat eyes and had long flowing hair tied back, adorned with ribbons and hats. Towards the end of the show, one of the bottles opened to reveal the last looks, a couple in all white.

I dropped by Nordstrom's Half Yearly today...lots of good shoes on sale. I wasn't looking for anything specific, just wanted to see what they had to offer. I have been wanting to get a pair of Ray Ban Wayfarers because my nonbrand ones are ready to die. I've had them for a couple years now and I figure it's just going to be my sunglasses for life. But tooodayyyy I discovered some Chanels that look similar to the wayfarers and I fell in love...and even better...THEY FIT! So these are definitely going on my wish list.

They have softer angles in the frames and there's some quilting on the side. Check them out!

Tony told me about a month ago that he had something special for me and I have been trying to figure it out ever since! I had no idea what it could have been. Well my gift arrived yesterday...they're customized KEDS designed by Tony...SUPER COOL! I think they're amazingly pretty: the colorway is fresh and the images have an edgy brushed look.

I don't know if I'm going to wear them out yet since they're so pretty, but I do want to show them off! =)

Happy Graduation to Myself

So...Dad promised me a Chanel bag for my graduation...I have been set on the classic large black flap with gold chain for about 2 years now, but the Valentine Flap came out for Valentine's day and I fell in love. I have not graduated yet, but am definitely on my way.

I told Dad about the bag and he said I could get it for graduation..YES! I picked it up at the Robertson store a while back but had not the chance to share.

To think, these past 4 years a waste? Not at all, I earned myself a Chanel bag, baby!

The bag comes in pink, icey blue, white, and black...of course I picked up the black one.

Interning for a Pilot

So the past couple weeks has been very busy, with visits to Ikea, interning with Crystal,LA fashion weekend, school starting, and most recently my internship on a tv pilot. It has been a couple of crazy weeks but it has been so spectacular and such great learning experiences. I feel so blessed to have such great opportunities present themselves in my life and for such amazing people to help guide me along the way.

Working with Crystal has been a great experience, I have learned a lot just from being around her. Crystal Wright Live has been taking off and Crystal is also working on a new project which will release very soon...

As for school, I'm taking my senior project class, one more fashion course, along with pilates and yoga. We're only 2 weeks into school and I've already missed 4 days...oops. I had to skip..i got the chance to intern for a the tv pilot!

Interning for the costume department was a lot of fun. I had no idea what to expect; I would have done anything they told me to! I was simply thrilled to just be on a set! I learned a great deal about how pilots come together, procedures in the wardrobe department, how taping days work, and much more.

I was and still am overwhelmed with the knowledge I gained from interning on a set. I met great people, whose work I have admired for a long time, and hopefully made some life long connections with some of them.

I wish the best for the cast and crew... and hope the show gets picked up. I have a good feeling it will.

The Big Bang Theory

I just started watching The Big Bang Theory, a sitcom that airs on CBS. It is about 2 physicists, Leonard and Sheldon who attend Caltech and their equally geeky friends, Walowitz and Koothrappali. In the first episode, Penny, an aspiring actor, who is from Nebraska or somewhere, moves in the apartment next to Leanord and Sheldon. Leanord is pretty much in love with Penny since he first meets her, "being a good neighbor," while Sheldon has no social capabilities whatsoever and is often researching on how to act "normal" in social situations.

I find the show's dialogue to be hilarious and another aspect of the show I like is the wardrobe. I would love to work on this show and help put together all these nerdy outfits. Leonard is always in a hoodie and jacket, Sheldon is always layering long sleeves under his comic t-shirts, while Koothrappali is always sporting some random sweater vest. Wolowitz always accessorized with a nerdy belt buckle, he may be my favorite; he thinks he's a "ladies' man" but really he's just a creeper. He's the only one out of the 4 scientists who does not have a Ph.D and he still lives with his mom.

Our First Lady, Michelle Obama is in Vogue! The article written by Andre Leon Talley, can be found in the March 2009 issue (or click here). Portraits are by Annie Leibovitz.

Mrs. Obama looks lovely in her salmon ensemble from J.Crew. I really like the contrast in texture between the cardigan, top, and skirt; it makes the outfit more interesting than a solid sweater or blouse.

Patricia is an amazing costume designer; I have an incredible amount of admiration for her. I started and continued to watch Sex and the City because of the wardrobe. I swoon with amazement and thrill over Patricia's styling. I'm excited to see Confessions of a Shopaholic to see what kind of storytelling she has come up with this time. She has a quirky way to her styling which I admire and try to incorporate into my efforts as a stylist.

I just saw Dev Patel on Jon Stewart a few minutes ago and fell in love. He is soooo adorable! I literally clapped my hands in the excitement of watching him on the tele. President Obama!

Everyone looked amazing yesterday! I must say that President Obama is the most handsome president we have ever had! The entire first family is gorgeous not to mention that Sasha and Malia are adorable! First Lady Michelle looked lovely in her Isabel Toledo suit as well as in her Jason Wu white gown. Not forgetting Jill and Joe Biden either. Jill was radiant in her Reem Acra red gown. As for President Obama and Vice President Biden--handsome all around!

I have never been so excited about a new presidency before. I sense that a positive future is coming!

Golden Globes aired on Sunday and I watched parts of it while doing some homework. My pick for best dressed is Maggie Gyllenhaal. She often wears something out of the ordinary but she always looks amazing!

Another one of my other favorites was Tina Fey in a low cut black dress. Extremely elegant, also sexy Tina! =)

On the other end, Jennifer Lopez showed up in lots of gold and lots of skin. =/

Congratulations to Slumdog Millionaire! It is a very powerful and moving film; I greatly recommend watching it.
